Thanks

This poem was written for my Pastor a few years back in appreciation for his leadership & friendship in my life. Something that doesn’t get said often enough to those who lead us can be, “thank you”.

I could never give to you all that I desire,

No words that I could ever speak, could lift you up much higher.

No things that I could say, or gift that I could give,

Could ever express my gratitude, For the example-ship you live.

People come & people go, Yet faithfully you serve,

For your eyes are set on things above, Not the things of Earth.

Yet the biggest blessing to my life, & the thing that’s helped me in my mess,

Is that you’ve let God use you, to give a father to the fatherless.
