Isn’t it amazing how what the world values can be changed in an instant?
Who would’ve thought that toilet paper or hand sanitiser could become a precious commodity?
Who would’ve thought that hand sanitiser would’ve become invaluable?
And yet, we find ourselves here at this point in time in 2020 where a rogue virus has besieged us and has us holed up in our homes.
But still, in the midst of changing values in the world, there is still an unchanging value, and that is souls.
The word of God hasn’t changed and the value of a soul hasn’t changed.
Even in the midst of whatever is going on right now, we need to remember that the real priority and the real need in this time right now, is for the gospel of love.
I’m not talking about some airy-fairy, New Age, love-everyone type of doctrine.
I’m talking about the gospel of love that God planned from the beginning when he created man, through the fall, and through all of the ages right up until today in 2020.
Communicate with people as much as possible, by any means possible.
Call that friend that you haven’t rung for so long.
People that you would normally catch up with either at work or might bump into down the shops, give them a call, FaceTime them, Skype them.
Whatever it takes.
But, let people know that you are still here.
That you still believe what you believe.
That God is still God on the throne of your heart, no matter the circumstances around us.
You don’t have to preach, just be there.
You can help bring peace to someone’s heart simply by being there.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and people find comfort in changing times in things that stay the same.
Ensure that you have that peace in your own heart with God during this time and share that peace with others.
Remember the real value right now is souls.
