I remember a friend and I as children, running around his parents farm just being boys.
We started playing a game where one would close their eyes and the other would lead them just by telling them which way they should walk… This has quite obvious inherent dangers.
My eyes were closed and I was listening to my friends voice going this way and that when I suddenly stopped with a sharp pain in my thigh. I had walked into a rusty barbed wire fence!
I said, “What are you doing?” My friend explained, “I thought you were peeking at where you were going!”
I wasn’t.
Guys, you don’t know how much those around you are following you. How much they’re listening and trusting what you say. And this is not just for blokes with kids. You can be a Father to someone without being their Dad…
For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”I Corinthians 4:15 NKJV
It’s true, this world needs Dads. It’s also true that the world and todays church needs spiritual Father’s.
God bless you as you love & lead those around you.
